The next Russia-EU Summit will take place...

Lavrov met with the European Union"s top foreign policy official, Catherine Ashton, in Moscow on Wednesday.

"We discussed the most important issues on our agenda and came to the conclusion that the first results of our work should be reached by the next Russia-EU summit, which will take place in Rostov-on-Don on May 31 and June 1," Lavrov said after the meeting with Baroness Ashton.

He added that the Kremlin saw the proposed Partnership for Modernization as an important part of bilateral cooperation.

"This concept [of the Partnership for Modernization] was discussed and approved last year at the previous Russia-EU Summit in Stockholm, and we have now started talks with our partners from the European Union on how to make concrete progress on our shared agenda," Lavrov said.

"The first outlines of the future partnership have, I think, already taken shape - we intend to prioritize the most concrete and significant issues including the economy, social problems,
