He is accused of hitting Moscow Helsinki Group head Lyudmila Alexeyeva in the face when she went to Park Kultury metro station on Wednesday to lay flowers for those killed in Monday"s suicide bombings, which killed 40 people and injured dozens more.

Alexeyeva said afterwards that no lasting damage was done.

"He did not break anything. It felt like my blood pressure had risen, but it"s fine," she told RIA Novosti.
