Nikolai Biryukov said the contract would allow RIA Novosti to "raise the delivery of our information to a new level and put this information directly on the trader"s table."

He said RIA Novosti led the list of the most quoted Russian information sources in the fourth quarter of 2009.

"We have created a news production system that allows the swift production and delivery of information, which, among others, influences the Russian stock market," Biryukov said.

However, he said, strong competition on the information market and high demand for timely and accurate information made RIA Novosti look for new clients and markets.

As there are hundreds of financial organizations among RIA Novosti"s subscribers, the agency decided to join BT Radianz, he added.

Biryukov said cooperation with BT Radianz would start with RIA Novosti"s Russian and English-language news wires. However, he said, news products in other languages can also be included in the contract
