One policeman was shot dead and another...
"The patrol officers arrived at the address in a residential building where members of the public had reported a young woman being raped," the source said. "In the stairwell, an unknown man shot at them, presumably with a hunting rifle."
The shooter fled the scene of the incident, which took place in Dmitrov, a town about 65 kilometers north of Moscow.
Investigators said they had no further details as detectives had not long arrived at the crime scene.
